If you’re looking for subtle, feminine décor with a generous dose of sophistication, opt for an injection of dusty pink or ‘millennial pink’ as it’s increasingly being called.

It’s one of the few home trends that can be re-worked year after year and it’s perfect for almost every room in the house, whatever your style. Whether you have grey tones, clean white walls or have even opted for a darker palette – Dusty Pink is one of those colours can that add instant freshness.

Soft charcoals and pretty pastel pinks naturally work well together but the trick is getting the balance right. A grown-up grey will update a room & combined with textured furnishings, will avoid it from looking too girly. Accent with metallics such as gold or copper to add glamour, while rustic finishes such as timber, brick or concrete add a little more edge.

When it comes to fabric choices, use grounding natural materials on sofas and armchairs, like wools and linens in charcoal or navy tones. Then mix with lighter more luxurious fabrics such as velvet to bring in your paler greys and dusty pinks – this will create a generous but soft balance of textures.

The easiest way to bring in pink to your colour scheme is through subtle accents. If cushions & throws are a step too much, try candles or ceramic features such as mugs & planters.
